Antique Questions - N

I have a bowl and six mug set I am trying to find out about.  They are white with a blue bottom half, and Tom and Jerry is written in gold lettering.  On the bottom it has the patent number 107564-65-65  It states ie is oven proof and says it's made in the United States of America by the National Brotherhood Operative Potters and has a symbol in an inner circle of an eye over something, below that something is written and then two hands shaking below that.

I have a soup bowl made by the Atlas Globe China Company with the Nazi emblem on it, could you please give me some info on that particular pattern, was it made for officers, etc. I would love to know the plates history.

McKee made a Tom and Jerry set, the bowl sells for about $75.+   However, McKee didn't use the marks you mentioned.  The National Brotherhood of Operative Potters was a union mark used from 1940 - 1960.  The only symbol listed shown in my reference books for two hands shaking was New York City Pottery which operated from 1872 - 1888.

The number you gave, 107504-05-05 is not a patent number.  It may be a design number/dating system used by the manufacturer.

This is a bit of a mystery.  It could not have been made by New York City Pottery.  Look for more information on McKee pottery which may have a photo of the Tom and Jerry set.  I don't have a book on McKee but a more detailed reference book might explain the marks.
