circa 1930s
15 3/4" tall, Cast iron. This andiron was originally made from the late 1700s to the 1820s (prices for this period range from $900. up). The Colonials hated the Hessian soldiers and used to spit on the andirons by the fire and watch it hiss as it sizzled on the hot metal. This pair is from the 1930s and has original paint.

6“ tall,10“ long, 6“ wide, Aluminum, Continental Silver, Corners are flat while the sides are turned up in a scalloped and fluted pattern. A single strap handle separates into tails which attach to rives. The top of the handle turns up on each side to form a slot in top.
