Caramel Cake
Caramel Cake

2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour
3 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 ½ cups cream, thick

Beat eggs and sugar together.  Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.  
Blend this alternately with cream into beaten eggs and sugar.  
Bake at 350 until done but not over done.  
Makes 3 good layers.  (I use separated cream, adding a little more if needed.)

Icing
1 lb. Light brown sugar
1 cup cream, thick

Cook until it forms a firm soft ball in cold water.
Add 2 tbsp. Vanilla and 3 tbsp butter.  
Beat well and ice the cake.
