![]() Early Automobile Hazards
The view from the porch was fantastic.
Cool breezes and a warm sun encouraged the old farmer and his wife to enjoy the pleasant Sunday morning.
In the valley below, a young man in his automobile approached the mountain.
Just one more curve and the climb would begin.
The farmer noticed movement on the road below and quickly ran into the house to grab his trusty rifle.
Out the door he ran and got off a couple of good shots.
The automobile driver coming under fire, quickly turned around and made tracks.
"Dang, Ma," the farmer exclaimed. "I knew I hit that varmint but it still wouldn't turn that man lose!"
