What do you mean when you say an item is being sold "As Is"?

This is a way of informing buyers that the item may have known or undetermined flaws.  It implies that there is no guarantee or warranty so buyers need to be  satisfied the price is fair before they purchase.

The dealer should openly discuss what may be wrong and right with an "As Is" piece and the price of the item should reflect a lesser value.  This is a often a bargain for do-it-yourself collectors who have the expertise to tackle a restoration project or need the item for parts.

The bottom line is, if you have misgivings about the item, don't buy it.  Don't wait to have buyer's remorse.
