Famous Woman in Sports - Gertrude Ederle 6 1/4" pot metal figure and the Oberling Bulletin, dated August 7, 1926, with front page news of this recod breaking event of the first woman to swim the English Channel and also break all male records for this amazing feat. Figure does not have a base and it has been dropped at some time because Gertrude's nose is smooshed somewhat. Otherwise, Very good condition.
